Isn’t this picture a stunner? The eternal symbol of beauty and life, the peacock feather is one of the most sought after tattoo designs. The beauty of this one, in the picture, is the simplicity and precision with which it has been done. The tattoo artist definitely knows his job well. The feather looks as though it is real, with the bright and realistic colours bringing it to life. It is one of the most brilliant forearm tattoos, simple yet stunning.

India is still new,for all these things.
its not all that new! come on! i have a tattoo and i know a lot of people who do. but i realllly loved this tattoo. its done very well. a realllllllllly experienced tattoo artist must have done it, i can say that cuz the detailing is awesome!
Well, Vijay tattoo is not very new in India, because in the rural areas also you can find the black tattoo done through needle. Earlier all the ladies used to have it at least one on the hand or leg(upper foot). I find it in my grandma, mama and old ladies.
This peacock feather tattoo does not look like a tattoo at all. Rather it looks like a feather pasted on the hand. isn’t it? yes, it’s very near to a real and natural feather. The colour and texture is excellent. great detailed work!
Yeah thats true! we normalllly associate tattoos which the rich and fancy :P but ive seen a lot of village folk with their hands done up with green tattoos and some of them are very pretty indeed. and im sure they dont pay a bomb for them as well...my dad tells me you can get them done for as little as Rs40 in the gaaaon ka mela! :P now thats cheap, isnt it!
Peacock Tattoo
Although today we rush to associate the peacock with vanity, as the male of the species struts his magnificent and upward-spreading tail feathers to attract a mate, the peacock has a rich Eastern heritage in symbolism. In its native India, many gods were portrayed riding this sacred BIRD. In China, it was the embodiment of beauty and dignity. For Muslims and other groups, the peacock is a cosmic symbol whose spread tail represents the whole universe, or the full MOON, or the SUN at its highest point. Tattoos of the peacock are dominated by the brilliant and metallic blues and greens of its plumage and the distinctive, iridescent ”eyespot” near the tip of the feathers, which is ringed with blue and bronze.
