There is something about women and butterfly tattoos; they seem to be made for each other. This tattoo has five of them on her back, each taking flight in different directions but brilliantly done nevertheless. The colours of the Monarch butterflies seem to compliment her skin tone and her back so well that they almost look like real butterflies that would fly away if you try and touch them. Since the butterfly symbolizes beauty, growth in the various phases of life and free-spiritedness, they are a huge hit with the women. Of course, it goes without saying that they look beautiful and delicate, just like you!

Butterfly tattoos truly are amazing. They can represent so many different things. The fragility of life, transformation, a number of things really. I specifically like butterfly tattoos that incorporate other designs, such as flowers, or when the wings have eyes.
The butterfly is far and away the most-used insect image in all of tattoo. A symbolic creature in many cultures, it sometimes represents beauty itself or metamorphosis and other times the transitory nature of happiness and, indeed, all of life. To the Aztecs, the butterfly symbolized the soul or the breath of life exhaled by the dying. The same is true in classical antiquity, where it was a common belief that the soul left the body in the shape of a
butterfly . In Western culture, butterflies are also seen as symbols of freedom
They lend themselves to all manner of colorful and fanciful adaptations in
tattoo imagery
Despite their enormous variety with respect to color, shape, and size, their embellishments in tattoo art may well rival those found in nature.

Butterflies can also represent life struggles and the success that comes at the end.
