At last the HB29 Bill, lowering the age to get a tattoo from 21 to 18, is now a law in Illinois. The bill was voted with 48-to-7 in favor despite the governor’s objections. Severe penalties have been enforced for the offenders.
Few think that teens don’t have enough judgment to go for this permanent decision. Of course they have and parents can play an important role in polishing it. The artist too must make sure that the person getting a tattoo is well informed.
