The Community Blood Council of New Jersey has scrapped the one year ban imposed on donors with fresh tattoos following the instructions given by the American Association of Blood Banks. hi there. i dont think its a very good idea for people to go donate blood shortly after they have gotten a tattoo. I have tattoo’s too but I think its very un safe for people to be able to go out and donate blood the next day. i know there is a shortage for blood but you have to be safe too. waht if someone who donates with a fresh tattoo gives someone recieving there blood a major problem like giving them HEP C with out giving them time to check or develope it before they had time to check it? like i said I have tattoo’s, i have 4 soon to be 5, and I dont think its a very good idea for people to give shortly after they get a tatoo.
