Steve Lane, owner of a pet shop in Williams ville, New York imported tattooed fishes from Singapore to sell for Valentine’s Day. I real feel pity for these aquatic animals that have to tattoo themselves unwillingly for the sake of their owner. They loose their identity when tattooed in polka dots, stripes or even a red heart. They call it to a associated with love but I will associate it with the cruelty.
However, Alan Lee, Chairman of the HK Aquaria Mall in Hong Kong, claims that his cichlids are tattooed with a permanent dye using a low intensity laser. But for me this act will not change from an act of mere cruelty towards these speechless creatures.
