Ever thought that the serious looking, boring scientists can think beyond the technical and scientific world! Well, to some extent yes, even they can be fashion savvy and may love to sport tattoos. However, it is debatable whether their body art can be described as a fashion statement. I would rather call their tattoos a scientific statement they want to make. Take for example this one, where Scientist Mike has got done the brain tattoo: Levels of Consciousness, on his back, making a special statement.
Mike says:
The earth and brain are the nucleus of a neuron, whose apical dendrite is a double helix. Reversing the scales reminded me of universal principles that operate across different levels of organization – like diversity is important.
