We really don’t know who Thomas is, what he does for a living and what his inspiration for getting this very merry, very jolly tattoo on his arm, but we are really impressed with his artistic vision. I mean its bordering freakishly on being EMO what with the kid holding a heart with a dagger and a spear in it which really presents a very interesting insight into Thomas’ childhood issues! The ‘this too shall pass’ banner underneath the ink only adds to our suspicions of Thomas’ troubles.

I’m Thomas (no really), and since you took the time and effort to write this ”article”, I might as well answer some of your questions.
First off, as I said, I am Thomas (not emo). I am an IT professional (not emo) from Texas (not emo), living in South San Francisco (possibly emo).
My inspiration for this tattoo has nothing to do with some deep seeded, childhood trauma, like you hoped.
It’s (note: proper use of ”it’s”) more, or less, a collaboration of admiration for my perception of musical genius, love and respect for those I’ve lost, and it just looks ”gall-dang cute”.
The piece is derived from album art off of Incubus’ latest album (arguably not an emo band). The child represents the youthful innocence of the heart, as we learn from our experiences with pain/love. The dagger, to me, represents the everlasting pain of losing someone near and dear to you (sappy, yes, but not emo). And, the heart represents a heart, duh.
All that being said, I think it’s my turn to delve into your (the writer) childhood. Basing my opinion, solely, on the ”article” I’ve just suffered through (this will be difficult, as my brain is now bleeding).
I look into my crystal ball, and I see very poor grades in anything remotely involving the English language. Instead of paying attention in class, I see you doodling pictures of superior, non-emo tattoos you hope to someday get the oppurtunity to evaluate. And penises, lots of penises.
Looking ahead, I don’t see a bright future in psychology/sociology/talk show host, as your human analytical skills are about as good as your spelling, and punctuation.
I don’t know who ”we” is, but you all (y’all) should not quit your day jobs. That is to say, keep your head up, Tiger. If you think fourth grade is hard, wait till next year. Some of the girls are going to come back from summer vacation, with boobies!
(I apologize for any spelling, or grammar mistakes I have made. I am copying this text from a poem I’ve written in my own blood, while wearing thick-framed glasses, and my sisters pants.) (not emo).
